2019 Thomas JV and Varsity FallBall

We will be offering a weekly training session for all 9-12 grade Thomas lacrosse players from 6:30-8pm on Wednesday Nights.  During this we will be working on both field and box concepts.  Varsity staff will be instructing.

"I believe that box lacrosse gives young people many more opportunities to excel in our game.  If I had my choice, I would have every player under the age of twelve play box lacrosse exclusively or at least a majority of the time.  The number of touches of the ball and the ability to develop better stick skills in a game of box lacrosse, far surpasses what happens to young people on a 110 x 60 yard field.  Learning how to pass and catch in traffic, understanding how to shoot, and developing a sense of physicality are all positive traits developed by the box game.”

2019 Webster Over 30 Pick Up (WOTPU) Lax

Welcome to the 2019 Mens Over Thirty Pick Up (WOTPU) League

This a 30 and over box lacrosse league for men wishing to get exercise by chasing a ball with a stick.  The intent of our pickup game is to get exercise and be able to go to work the following day.  Thus, players are expected to be competitive but honor the concept that we're not playing for a championship so it's not necessary to be overly aggressive when stick or body checking.  Body checking and boarding are not allowed in this program.  We understand players may may inadvertently get body checked or boarded but it's to be the exception, not the norm.  Additionally, most players don't wear rib, slash or bicep guards so cross checking should be done with limited force, if at all.

Games will be played at Webster Lacrosse Club's outdoor Box on Ebner drive in Webster.

Games will be played on Sundays and some week nights when there is access to the facility.  Webster youth and scholastic programs take precedence for facilty use.

We will charge a modest annual fee of $20 to participate.  If we play for 5 months (which we always do) this will equate to less than $1 per session to participate.  Assuming you play every weekend.

Going forward registration with our club annually is MANDATORY FOR PARTICIPATION.
