2020 K- 2nd Winter MICRO LACROSSE

2020 Boys & Girls Micro-Lacrosse– K-2nd Grades

This winter the Webster Lacrosse Club is again offering the very popular and affordable Micro-Lacrosse. Starting the second, fourth and last Saturday in February.  The program is a fun, skills program, which teaches the most basic lacrosse fundamentals, while introducing the game in a non-intimidating environment.  The program will consist of games and fun skill challenges that will familiarize kids with the game of lacrosse.  All registrants will get a free lacrosse stick and a tee shirt.  No equipment, other than sneakers and gym clothes, is necessary as this is a non-contact event.

The Micro-Lacrosse program is specifically designed and modified to include age specific games and exercises that teach young athletes the fundamentals of the game while maximizing participation and involvement.  Our goal is for every player to walk away from the program wanting more, while having the basic skills needed to have fun at the recreational and travel levels in the coming spring season.

Lacrosse is one of the fastest growing team sports in the United States. It is the most exciting combination of every popular sport rolled into one.  It combines the agility of Basketball, the endurance of Soccer, the physical contact of Football and quick eye-hand coordination of Hockey.  Many kids start playing it as their “second” sport and find that it becomes their favorite.  This is a great opportunity to see if Lacrosse is right for you and your child.

K-2 Coaches Registration

Hello K-2 Coaches,

You are about to embark on a really cool journey, Coaching Youth Lacrosse.  Working with the younger age set is perhaps the most rewarding experience.  We want to thank you for taking the time to volunteer to help grow and give back to such a wonderful game.  Without great folks like you the Webster Lacrosse Club K-12 programs would not receive the ever-growing recognition they now enjoy.  The WLC thanks and appreciates all that you do.

2020 Webster Over 30 Pick Up (WOTPU) Lax

Welcome to the 2020 Mens Over Thirty Pick Up (WOTPU) League

This a 30 and over box lacrosse league for men wishing to get exercise by chasing a ball with a stick.  The intent of our pickup game is to get exercise and be able to go to work the following day.  Thus, players are expected to be competitive but honor the concept that we're not playing for a championship so it's not necessary to be overly aggressive when stick or body checking.  Body checking and boarding are not allowed in this program.  We understand players may may inadvertently get body checked or boarded but it's to be the exception, not the norm.  Additionally, most players don't wear rib, slash or bicep guards so cross checking should be done with limited force, if at all.

Games will be played at Webster Lacrosse Club's outdoor Box on Ebner drive in Webster.

Games will be played on Sundays and some week nights when there is access to the facility.  Webster youth and scholastic programs take precedence for facilty use.

We will charge an annual fee of $100 to participate.  If we play for 5 months at 3 times a week (which we usually do) this will equate to less than $2 per session to participate.  Assuming you play every session.  Even if you don't it's far less than a session at the other local facilities.

Going forward registration with our club annually is MANDATORY FOR PARTICIPATION.
